Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry, The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Illinois at Chicago is seeking to add new adult psychiatry faculty to our the Adult Mood and Anxiety, Psychosis, Women’s Mental Health and Addiction/Recovery Programs. These are clinician-educator positions (non-tenured) with both outpatient and inpatient responsibilities that can be individually tailored to suit the ideal candidates. The positions will include teaching and supervision of residents, medical students and other trainees, in both inpatient and outpatient settings and video supervision of resident psychotherapy patients as well as shared on-call duties. The successful candidates will join a productive multi-disciplinary team of clinicians and researchers in the Adult Mood and Anxiety, Psychosis, Women’s Mental Health and Addiction/Recovery Programs, with ample opportunities for collaboration. The candidates must be Doctors of Medicine and have completed an ACGME (Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education) accredited residency in Psychiatry. The candidates must possess or be eligible for an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Illinois and an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration license, and must be Board-certified or board eligible in Psychiatry. Experience and interest in teaching and supervising medical students, and residents is essential. We are one of the largest Psychiatry departments in the Midwest with a strong General Psychiatry Residency Training Program and several fellowships, including Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Addictions, Neuropsychiatry and Women’s Mental Health fellowships. Our Department is nationally known for clinical research in anxiety and mood disorders, psychosis, late life depression, autism, addictions, mental health services, and women’s mental health. We provide a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient treatments including ECT and rTMS and have several subspecialty clinics in the Adult Mood and Anxiety, Psychosis, Addiction/Recovery and Women’s Mental Health Programs, complemented by individual CBT, group therapy and an Intensive Outpatient Program.
