Corporate Vice President, Payer Relations

 Witt/Kieffer has been retained by Scripps Health in their search for a Corporate Vice President, Payer Relations/President of Scripps Health Plan Services.

This executive has enterprise level responsibility for providing strategic and operational leadership in the development and execution of all types of payer contracting programs and provider partnership strategies for all lines of business (including commercial, senior, fee for service and value-based). This role serves as the face of the system to all payers and their partners. The President, Scripps Health Plan Services is responsible for the overall operation of Scripps Health Plan Services, Inc., a wholly owned, tax exempt, subsidiary of Scripps Health. 

Given objectives and expectations by the Executive Vice President, Chief Growth Officer and Board of SHPS, the Corporate Vice President, Payer Relations and SHPS President will be responsible for developing actions plans and timelines in order to achieve successful results. The Corporate Vice President, Payer Relations and SHPS President is expected to exercise independent judgment in the day-to-day management of the organization's contracting and managed care activities. Through expertise, innovation, leadership and collaboration with payers, benefit consultants, providers, government agencies, and employers, this executive will create a successful business model that enables Scripps Health to sustain its mission and vision. 

The Corporate Vice President, Payer Relations must have a combination of leadership, human, business, political, facilitative and decision making abilities, industry knowledge, and be customer service oriented. A master's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience are required.
