The successful candidate will evaluate and treat patients with pelvic prolapse, neurogenic bladder, voiding dysfunction, and male and female incontinence.  The practice is supported by two physician assistants and five nurse practitioners, and the facility has multiple procedure rooms, a UDS suite and ample space with excellent administrative support and staff.  There is opportunity to utilize the da Vinci Robotic System.

MMPU provides a full range of adult and pediatric urologic diseases and disorders, including a dedicated Pediatric Urology division, Kidney Stone Prevention program, and Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery program.  Our ambulatory services include urodynamic testing, oncology nurse navigation, and state of the art cystoscopic equipment with fluoroscopic capability.

Maine Medical Center has 637 licensed beds and is the state’s leading tertiary care hospital and Level One Trauma Center, with a full complement of residencies and fellowships and an integral part of Tufts University Medical School. The Urology Residency at Maine Medical Center is the first and only urology residency program in the state, and MMPU serves as the core faculty.  Faculty receive academic appointments to Tuft University Medical School commensurate with experience.

The candidate will be joining Maine Medical Partners, a division of Maine Medical Center, Maine's largest multi-specialty medical group serving the healthcare needs of patients locally and throughout northern New England. This high quality team of more than 500 physicians provides a wide range of hospital-based, primary, specialty and sub-specialty care delivered through a network of more than 30 locations in and near Greater Portland.
