The James J Peters VA Medical Center, an affiliate of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, is soliciting applications for its Fellowship Programs in Psychiatry Research. In addition to training in clinical psychiatry, fellows will participate in research aimed at improving outcomes in serious mental illness in veterans and/or understanding the pathophysiology of serious mental illness.  The program offers a wide range of clinical, translational and basic research opportunities. Start dates are flexible.  More information on programs and faculty is available at   http://www.mirecc.va.gov/visn3/education.asp.

Applicants must have completed ACGME-accredited training in psychiatry, be board eligible, and have an active license to practice medicine in the U.S.  International medical graduates must also have a current visa and a valid ECFMG certificate.  Applicants on a J-1 visa must have current ECFMG sponsorship.

Interested applicants who meet eligibility requirements must send a cover letter, CV, transcripts, and three letters of recommendation to William Byne, M.D., Ph.D. at William.byne@mssm.edu.
